TGS is going to Sicily!
We're thrilled to be visiting Catania in Sicily from April 29th until May 3rd 2026, and we're looking forward to singing in some beautiful places, making many Sicilian friends, and fully experiencing La Dolce Vita!​
Monastero di San Benedetto
Andrés, our Music Director, while enjoying the delights of Sicily over Christmas and the New Year, was also working hard to develop musical contacts and friendships in Catania and Ortigia. As a result we're looking forward to taking part in two concerts, one in the Monastero di San Benedetto in Catania, with the Coro Polifonico San Marco, and a second in the Chiesa di San Filippo Apostolo in Ortigia with the Coro Discantus di Syracusa.

We'll be singing some masterpieces of English sacred music by Byrd, Tallis and Gibbons along with other wonderful pieces by composers such as Palestrina, Bruckner, and Grieg. We're very much looking forward to joining with the Coro Polifonico San Marco in singing Mozart’s Ave Verum Corpus in the beautiful surroundings of the Monastero di San Benedetto.
